I know as a wife and homeschooling, stay-at-home mom, I need peace during my day. It's so busy with everything that needs to get done. So this devotional is perfect.
It starts out with the title, then a Bible verse, mostly using the New Living Translation as well as other translations too, a short devotional, and then a little prayer. I use the prayer written in the book as a jumping off point. Then I add to my prayer with whatever is on my heart.
By reading one devotional every day for a whole year, I think it'll help you get into the habit of spending some time with Jesus. Like any devotional I have read, some entries speak to me more than others. But overall I like this one too.
The one from November 8th was a good one for me. The Bible verse: Trust in the Lord and do good Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. I'll share bits and pieces from the devotional. It's called 'knowing God's will. We want to be in control of the uncontrollable future, thinking perhaps we can assure a life of satisfaction and success But what if there is more than one way to do God's perfect will?
The next time you are faced with a major decision, ask God to reveal his will.
